So my brother-&-sister-inlaw are celebrating their 10 wedding anniversary this fall and so we ran around in the rain to commemorate this momentous occasion before I left for Israel. At the end we did some faux ‘autumn’ pictures since it’s their treasured time of year. So here’s an image to get you all warm and cozy and anxious to sip hot apple cider on a blustery and golden October day!

This is making me reeeeeeaaallly sad that we are going to miss all of fall this year since we’ll be out of the country. Instead, we’ll be experiencing a second ’summer’ {kind of a bummer because I totally looooove fall!} But I’m excited for some new adventures!!!

You all enjoy it for me!!!

Baby Announcement, Travel Plans, and Other Craziness!

Okay, for those of you who haven’t talked to me in forever, don’t have facebook, or pretty much live under a rock, you might need to know that I’m currently carrying the second little Meyers bombino. I’m just past 3 months with a due date of March 1st and am suuuuuuper stoked! ;o) I don’t have much to complain about when it comes to pregnancy, as I never really have gotten sick, but I do have periodic exhaustion problems. This may mean that I can be found at any juncture of the day passed out (zombie naps) in any random place. This child is already wearing me out – must be a doozy! ;o)

Thanks to the fabulous Stephanie Vogul who snapped these of me a few weeks ago while I was out in Vegas for Skip’s Summer School. I want to have a post dedicated to that amazing experience soon as well!

There is much in the works at the moment, hence the bad blog posting. I have been suuuuuuper busy with some amazing clients and we are leaving next week for Israel for 2 and a half months (!!!!!!!!!!!). We will be working with an amazing ministry, HaYovel, while there and in addition to harvesting vineyards and olive groves, I will be dedicating time to documenting the ministry with my photography. Whew! I’m pretty sure these next couple months are gonna be crazy, but that’s kinda how this little Meyers family likes it – full of adventure!

I have a lot of loose ends to tie up with Heather Meyers Photography not to mention I haven’t even begun to think about travel prep for a toddler (any suggestions???), packing (I will need to pack either several sizes or veeeeery ‘elasticky’ clothes), moving out of our ‘house’ (it’s going to be used for a roadtrip while we are away), and, um……well, I’m sure I’m forgetting lots!

Well consider that the long lost update – I’ll leave you with some pictures of my little man, Asher. He’s had a fabulous summer running around my parents acreage getting dirty and picking fresh berries and the like as fast as he can stuff ‘em in his mouth! I don’t know that the next baby can possibly get any cuter than this one! But I’m gonna try! ;o) haha

I love color. And TaRee’s shoot was full of vibrant color and personality, her soulful music like splashes of sunshine on the fragrant meadow. But, for some reason, these black and white images were just striking to me, that her emotion and artistry seems so raw and beautiful even without the color. So I’m posting these. Don’t despair color lovers, you won’t be disappointed as we have many vibrant album-cover worthy images to come!!! ;o)

I feel so blessed to have met you TaRee. And being serenaded by your music was simply amazing, and your love for the Lord even more striking. Thanks for driving such a loooooooong way and braving the ‘country elements’! I think you’ll be pleased with the results! **fingers crossed** ;o)

I had a great time yesterday traipsing around an idyllic old farm full of antique treasures with this fun country girl, complete with plenty of laughs and giggles! She has the prettiest smile, doesn’t she? AND the most fabulous boots.

So yesterday I had the most fabulous time with the wonderful Kristen, crafting some amazing images for her CASHS Class of 2011 Senior Portraits!

Since adventure is always part of the package when you book a shoot with Heather Meyers, I always deliver a one-of-a-kind experience . So we came upon this abandoned old industrial building and after we climbed through a tetanus-breeding window (made feasibly possible by my favorite gauchos), we proceeded to explore some sweet photo haunts and capture the images below.

I must admit we got a bit skittish after we saw the large snake skin (give us a break, we are girls after all) but we persevered (ie. jumped at every odd, echoing noise) until I had fulfilled my creative endeavor (ie. got so freaked out had to call it quits, haha)

I have the best clients e.v.e.r. who are up for whatever and wherever the shoot takes us! Thanks Kristen! And can’t wait to work on the rest of the amazing images from the day!
