{MY LIFE} Asher Turns 1

I can’t believe April 16th marked the day my precious little baby turned one. In some ways, it seems that he’s been a ‘toddler’ and older than his age for awhile now, considering he’s been walking since before 9 months. But in other ways, I hardly can comprehend that it’s been a whole year since I held him in my arms for the first time. Sigh. I better stop before I get too mushy ;o) But, truly, Asher has been the greatest joy in our life and I can’t wait to watch him grow and change in the next year!

So I grabbed a somewhat dirty and tired Asher the other day to do some official ’1 year’ pics. ;o)

Asher’s new thing is using all types of different objects as phones, talking and jabbering to no one in particular.

After the first haircut travesty (he looked a little Amish….) I have refused to trim his hair any. But it’s not all motivated by fear, as I’m still hoping that his straight locks will curl a little if they just get a liiiiitle bit longer…..haha.

Sometimes Asher doesn’t appreciate all the lovin daddy bestows upon him…..

But he still is daddy’s lil buddy ;o) He’s a miniature Jacob in O so many ways…..

I know he looks a little petrified here, but he’s laughing once he comes back down. Honest. ;o)

Jacob then took over the camera to capture some images that are sooooo dear to my heart….

His name means “Happy & Blessed” and my name means “Joyful Spirit”. I think we are good match ;o)

I think there is a bond between mother and child that is unrivaled by any other………

I love my little man more that even I can comprehend, and I hope he can always find refuge and comfort in my arms…….
