{PHOTO BOOK} ISRAEL Harvest 2010 | International Photojournalist

Well I’m so proud of myself for managing to get some of my big projects done before Zev’s arrival.

This included not only the ISRAEL • A Living Word in a Living Land Book but also these two whoppers:

The above is our own ‘Meyers’ edition of all of our 3-month Harvest adventures last fall and is 288 pages (!!!) packed full of 1300 photos.

The the other book below these spreads is virtually the same as our edition except it just has a lot less photos of our son Asher ;o) So here are some 2-page spread samples that you won’t find in the official ‘public’ version. ;o)

Asher enjoyed vineyard harvest the best – luscious grapes at his fingertips all. day. long.

I’m so proud of my hardy little world traveler! ;o) It’s like a dream come true to travel with my family

Another one of Asher’s favorite parts was all the music in our worship-oriented group

Working in the Negev was another big highlight – Asher loooooooooves huge sand dunes! {I wasn’t a big fan of the horned vipers and scorpions though}

We dream about these pomegranates grown down in the Negev. We don’t even buy them in the US, because they can’t even begin to compare…

OLIVES!!!!!!

Exploring the Golan! {That’s Zev down there on the left, the sites weren’t so good for him. ;o) but he gets to see them for real this year}

ISRAEL •HARVEST 2010 is a 200 page coffee table book packed with 1,000 photos from the HAYOVEL Harvest experience in Israel last fall.

While we were there for nearly 3 months, I took over 6,000 photos, edited 3,ooo of them, and whittled it down to the best 1,000 to put in this book. I got lots of inquiries wondering if I was going to provide a way to get all the photos to those who were there working with us, and after much deliberation this was my solution. I figured that if I sent out discs of all the 1,000 files, one would then have to get them printed, which would up being over $300 for a heap of 4x6s and then even if you found albums big enough to contain them, they’d be so bulky they would never get really looked at, nor organized.

So instead I thought it be nice to have people showing off their Israel pictures in a beautiful, thick, luster-finish 8×10 coffee table book, organized in the following chapters.

  • Vineyard Harvest
  • Olive Harvest
  • Worship
  • Other Work Projects
  • Celebrating & Touring

If you were working with HaYovel you’re probably in this book at least once! Here is the cover and some 2-page spread samples from the book to give you an idea of the layout and how image-packed the pages are!

So, if you are interested in getting a copy (I’m pretty much letting them go at cost), just send me an email via the contact link above or just send it to heather@heathermeyers.com!

Now this year we’ll have to see how good I am at documenting with 2 babies in tow!

Heather, I stumbled unto your website looking for images on Song of Songs as I am taking a tour to Israel in May 2013. Just been there in Oct for the third time and my heart is still there. Your photo’s had me crying, gasping, smiling and a whole lot more! Please let me know if your book is available in South Africa and if not – what will the costs be to either buy a book or to be a distributor of your magnificent work.
Shalom
